Jon Conley playing the guitar

Jon is known as the guitarist and back up singer in “The Kenny Chesney Band” and toured with Kenny on his record-setting 2011 tour.

He was born in Paragould, Arkansas and has been playing guitar since the age of 7 and played in his first band at the age of 10. At 14 he played with Gary and Daryl Wilcoxson in the award-winning country band “Cuz.” Jon lived with his parents for 8 years in Kennett, moving back to Paragould as he became a teenager and graduated from Greene County Tech.

Moving to Branson in 1991, Jon worked with legendary Grand Ole Opry star Jeannie Pruett and Grammy winning instrumentalist/comedian Buck Trent. He went on to be the lead guitarist/musical director for the late great Steel Guitar Hall of Fame member Tom Brumley (Buck Owens, Ricky Nelson, Desert Rose Band).

In 1995, Jon moved to Nashville where he started building an impressive list of musical relationships. His first job was playing on tour for Wynonna Judd, auditioning over the phone for legendary bass player Willie Weeks (Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Eric Clapton). After touring with both Wynonna and Lee Greenwood, Jon went on to become the lead guitarist and musical director for LeAnn Rimes.

Between tours, his studio experiences have earned him calls from some of the most respected producers in the business. As a session guitar player, he has recorded artists ranging from the late Johnny Cash, Marty Stuart, Wynonna, the Judds, Lee Greenwood, Terri Clark, and the list goes on.
